NBN Television launches Australia's first broadcast classified marketplace

CityXpress builds 4Sale2Buy site for N.S.W. broadcaster

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - April 17, 2007 - NBN Television, the Regional Nine affiliate broadcasting to Northern New South Wales and Southeast Queensland has partnered with CityXpress Corp., a leading developer of revenue-generating marketplaces for media companies, to launch 4Sale2Buy External Link, Australia's first classified marketplace operated by a broadcaster. The site began operation in early January 2007 and has enjoyed a strong response from the market.

NBN serves Australia's fourth-largest television market. 4Sale2Buy is a regional classified marketplace that operates on CityXpress' eMarketplaceXpress platform.

NBN launched the site with an aggressive on-air promotion campaign and an offer of free listings for the first 30 days. Currently, 4Sale2Buy has more than 7,000 registered users and over 4,400 listings. Based on its steady growth, 4Sale2Buy plans to introduce two new products to the market, in partnership with CityXpress.

"The response from our market to 4Sale2Buy has been fantastic and the care and experience of the CityXpress team made this roll-out one of the smoothest developments I have experienced," said Rob Short, NBN's online manager. "We had very few help enquiries and, given the enormous uptake in a short period of time, this speaks volumes for the site's 'ease of use' and functionality."

"We're very excited to have been able to assist NBN Television in taking this ground-breaking step in the Australian classified marketplace," said Cheryl Newsom, managing director of InXcess, the authorized reseller of CityXpress products in Australia and New Zealand.

"The early success of 4Sale2Buy affirms that our eMarketplaceXpress platform enables broadcasters and other media companies in a variety of markets to launch classified marketplaces that quickly attract quality consumer traffic that will support new revenue streams," said Phil Dubois, president and CEO of CityXpress. "We're looking forward to helping NBN extend their online services to their market."

CityXpress' classified platform enables media companies to develop their own branded online private-party marketplaces that compete directly with free listing services, generate new online revenue and drive significant traffic to their own Web sites. Features include online ad-taking and payment options, e-commerce transaction capabilities, local business storefronts, contextual ad placement, optimized search capabilities, XpressExperts, and a comparison-shopping feature that incorporates products from other local shopping channels. CityXpress has launched or is developing classified marketplaces for leading media customers in North America, the United Kingdom and Australia.
