The seductive storyteller of One Thousand and One Nights charms the sultan with tales of adventure and daring. Here, Scheherazade is portrayed musically by the Omaha Symphony's concertmaster in a dazzling showcase for violin amid the richly varied colors of Rimsky-Korsakov's exotic orchestrations. Suites from Barber's nostalgic ballet and Strauss's comic opera are an added delight.
